Hans-Joachim Frey was the director and organizer of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Gala Concert "Night in the Bolshoi". This gala concert for the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup took place the day before the final match at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
The gala evening was opened with greetings from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and the President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino.
Soloists at the concert were the world-famous opera stars Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Yusif Eyvazov, Hibla Gerzmava and Ildar Abdrazakov.
